Viljandi Suspension Bridge

The Viljandi Suspension Bridge is a pedestrian bridge in the Viljandi Castle Hills, connecting the ruins of the Order Castle with the manor park. It has become one of the city's symbols, offering beautiful views of the surroundings and contributing to the historical atmosphere of the city. The bridge is 50 m long and spans a 15 m deep valley.

The bridge was built in 1879 in Riga and originally installed over a moat to facilitate the manor's family's access to the chapel in the castle ruins. It is an ideal place for romantic walks and pictures. Step onto the bridge to feel its gentle swaying rhythm!
