In the summer, it is possible to use the 850-metre asphalt roller skating track, as well as the adjacent woodchip running track and the 1.2 km sprint track. There are 1.3 and 5 km hiking trails in the park, as well as the first disc golf park in Tartu, built in the summer of 2013.

The first BMX cycling track in Estonia, opened in 2009, is also located in Tähtvere Park.

In the winter, you can enjoy ski trails on artificial snow (8 km with natural snow) and a skating rink will be opened under the arch of the Tartu Song Festival arena. Skates, skis, and other sports equipment can be rented from the arena.
