Many creative entrepreneurs, artists, designers, and the cat Johannes Gutenberg have found their home here.
The factory offers trendy design and art shops, hipster restaurants, the TYPA Printing and Paper Art Centre, and a distinctive bookstore.

Aparaaditehas is located at the intersection of Riia tänav and Kastani tänav in Tartu. The entrance is in Kastani tänav through a passage. Free parking for the visitors of Aparaaditehas is available on the other side of Kastani tänav in the courtyard of design hostel Hektor.
