Väike-Rakke (0 km) – Trepimäe (17.5 km) – Limnology Station (23 km) – Haani – Rõngu (40 km) – Pikasilla (55 km)
Lake Võrtsjärv can be discovered through several trails. This hiking trail was born during an EU project where Route 6, Tour de LatEst, was created. Route 230 connects the various relatively distant parts of Route 6.
Compared to Route 18 around Lake Võrtsjärv, this route is signposted for moving in either direction. There is a choice between roads in three places, but the main sights are still the same – Vehendi recreation area, Tamme Outcrop, Trepimäe's formerly popular location for summer events, the area and beaches of Vaibla Holiday Centre and Valma Holiday Centre.
Road conditions correspond to the area. There are mostly gravel roads from Väike-Rakke to Rõngu and about 3.5 km of asphalt. There is a paved road from Rõngu to Pikasilla, where traffic is not very dense, and about a kilometre worth of cycling paths.
It makes sense to continue on this route coming from Route 6 or to start it from Väike-Rakke or Pikasilla. By train, the closest you can get is to Rõngu (about 5 km from the Palupera station).
