Muuseum Kiek in de Kök

Võimas keskaegne kaitsetorn Kiek in de Kök (sks. k. “kiika kööki”) on saanud oma nime legendist, et vahitorni sõdurid olevat armastanud ülevalt tornist all-linna köökidesse piiluda.

Tornis asuv muuseum tutvustab Tallinna tekkelugu, arengut ja sõjasündmusi 13.-18. sajandini. Keldrikorrusel korraldatakse fotonäitusi, relvakambris saab tutvuda mitmesuguste relvadega ja proovida kätt laskesimulaatoril.
6. korruselt avanevad ainulaadsed vaated Toompeale, all-linnale ja sadamale.  Kiek in de Kökist saavad alguse ka giidiga ekskursioonid Bastionikäikudesse ja seal paiknevasse Raidkivimuuseumi.

Walk past and admire but there is no need to climb a top

This cannon tower, part of the wall separating the upper (nobility) and lower (merchants) towns, is full of lore. It's also a museum. Admiring it from the exterior is sufficient, and the upper...
